Las Vegas may have seemed like an unusual place to hold the Silver Anniversary Edition of Validation Week, but that did not deter this year's attendees from focusing on the task at hand. In fact, I dare say that this 25th Annual event proved to spark the most energetic networking sessions that I have seen at a validation conference.
Most notable of this special week, celebrating 25 years of the conference, were some of the featured speakers, like Gamal Amer, Alan Golden, Chris Wubbolt and Paul Pluta, who have a long history with CBI and the IVT Network.
This year’s event had plenty of new offerings as well, including a mock inspection, grateful
leadership series and tracks geared toward computer science and medical device professionals.
In addition to these thought provoking presentations and hands-on experiences, throughout the event there were opportunities to revitalize, mingle and follow-up with questions for speakers and vendors during the refreshment breaks.
In addition to an amazing week of education, IVT Network also presented their 2019 Awards for author of the year, speaker of the year and Chapman Award. During the awards ceremony, the IVT Network team honored Paul Pluta with an award for Leadership Excellence. Paul has been an integral part of the network for more than 20 years, providing written articles, peer
reviews for colleagues, recruiting new authors and board member, as well as serving as the Chair for the Editorial Advisory Board. Paul was overwhelmed with the acknowledgement, and proud to be a part of the IVT team. This was also, an excellent addition to the awards program and a reminder that we were celebrating the 25th Annual Val Week event.
